Halloween is a typically Anglo-Saxon celebration created in Ireland. It has spread to many countries and cities that now have their own traditions. It is an opportunity to travel and take a world tour around Halloween.
Ireland
This is the founding country of Halloween. As can also be seen in France, in Ireland children and turkey email list adults dress up as evil creatures. In the streets you can see parades, carnivals, bonfires and fireworks. Everyone comes together to celebrate this ancient Celtic religious festival. Games are also organized and you can taste Barmbracks, a cultural specialty, a small bread with candied fruit.
Mexico
In Mexico, the Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is celebrated for Halloween. It is a huge celebration THE WORLD that can last a whole week. There are festivals where people dress up, dance and parade through the streets in typical costumes, including the famous skull. During this period, Mexicans make objects that they then place on the graves of their loved ones at the end of the festivities.
Taiwan
At this time, in Taiwan, the Lantern Festival is celebrated. Much more joyful and colorful focus on: the most fun amusement parks in the world than in Anglo-Saxon countries, a Lantern Festival is organized in a different city each year in the country. You can see magnificent illuminations, acrobatic shows, dances and fireworks.
China
In China, we celebrate the month of Ghosts. It is an ancestral tradition according to which, during this period, tormented lob directory spirits would return to earth. To free them, the Chinese offer them meals and burn incense. We can attend celebrations, especially in Hong Kong, with operas, exhibitions, theater and fireworks.
Transylvania
Homeland of the famous Dracula, Transylvania is THE destination if you want to celebrate Halloween in a setting worthy of the name! On this occasion, the streets and houses are decorated in a macabre style and you can attend vampire or witch festivals in castles like that of Count Dracula.
Haiti
In Haiti, Halloween is celebrated on November 1 and 2. It is called the Festival of the Dead (or Guédé in Haitian). The inhabitants celebrate their gods of death and dance around sacred tombs. The dead are honored in cemeteries where most of the festivities take place.
